We stayed at Baan Sukhumvit for 3 nights and would definitely stay there again when in Bangkok next. It is great value for money and we felt very comfortable. Not to far from the BTS which is always a good thing in Bangkok.

I recently stayed at Baan Sukhumvit kind of dreading the reaction from my large family traveling w/ me on holidays (including my hard to please father in law and fussy wife and her cousin - who is a travel agent who fought tooth and nail to get a "big-name hotel" instead of my choice)...I can safely say that my wife's cousin didn't say a bad word to me and my wife and her dad HIGHLY complimented the Baan Sukhumvit.
They offered an excellent rate, service and cleanliness. They provided everything that a "big-name hotel" can offer me (A/C, breakfast, cable TV, internet, small fridge) and provided other little things that they can't like free DVD's (which helps me to keep my 2 year old son occupied). It's quiet yet close to Sukhumvit Road and the skytrains for easy access to wherever you wish to go. Kevin is a good source of info and takes the time to offer help for whatever problems/questions you have...If only he could have controlled the hot weather.

The Baan Sukhumvit has a really nice feel to it, it's just a lovely comfortable little B&B in a quiet cul-de-sac, the rooms are not huge but they are clean and comfortable and the breakfast was simple, but delicious and hearty. The staff is lovely, Kevin is a great source of information and Neem was fantastic with our children, we felt very safe and secure here, and at the end of a long day we were made to feel more like family returning home, than just another guest , which is the advantage of staying in a place like the Baan Sukhumvit over some big impersonal resort. The location is great, just a 5 min walk to the sky train at Asok station, and there are lot's of great shops and restaurants near by, a 7-11 is just around the corner, This place doesn't have a pool, but to be honest our children didn't miss one at all, there is so much to do and see in Bangkok, that we would never have found time to use one anyway, so it really wasn't an issue with us, and our children just loved it here, if we are ever in Bangkok again I would most definitely stay here again.
Tips
Hire a private tour guide for the day, we hired Tong and she was fantastic www.tourwithtong.com
If you have children take them to Safari World & Siam Ocean World on the basement floor of the Siam Paragon shopping centre.

Everytime we took a taxi back to Baan Sukhumvit Inn, it led to frowns on our part and puzzlement for the driver. He simply could not figure out where this generic sounding inn was along the street. That was because the Inn was off the street, into a side lane and to be found in a cul-de-sac. And that is the charm of BSInn. A quiet place tucked between a hair salon and a home-like factory (?). We enjoyed our stay. The room and beds were better than comfortable, simply decorated but stylish enough. Breakfast was hearty. Kevin and Neem were helpful and friendly. Far from the madding crowd of Siam Square but still convenient enough because the Skytrain was just a hop away (well ok - more than a few hops). So, a whisper to my countrymen/women who don't need the cookie-cutter right-at-the-doorstep-of-a-shopping-mall type of hotel, check this place out. But ssh, spread the word selectively - not for buffet-breakfast travellers with kids accompanying.
