We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights with our 3 children - 14, 13, 9 years. Our immediate impression was fantastic, the rooms are spacious (we had interconnecting rooms) with wide screen TVs, large bathroom (not the greatest bathroom if you were sharing with a friend as there is not a lot of privacy - but for a family the bathroom was perfect). Our kids loved the 18 hole putting green. The pool on the hotel's website looks small but in fact it was a rather decent lap pool (not at all deep - 1.2m). There were separate mens and womens spa/sauna/steam room facilities which were very luxurious. The coffee shop in the foyer sold their delicious cakes, pies, quiches etc for 1/2 price after 6pm. The staff were great, the breakfast buffet had a wide selection of foods to cater for all tastes. We had the seafood dinner buffet which was lovely but extremely expensive. At first we thought the location of the hotel was not the greatest but after the first day we realised that Bangkok is such a large city that no matter what hotel you chose you would have to travel some distance to see the sights. The hotel is a short walk to the skytrain and train station. The only downside I would say is that there are no restaurants (that we could find) in close proximity to the hotel so we tended to catch the skytrain to different restaurants. On the whole we loved the hotel and would definitely recommend it. If we were to return to Bangkok we would not hesitate in staying there again.
