Not only a great trip for families, also for a younger crowd. The day was completely relaxed with no rush, and still we managed to see several untouched places in Phuket. Living in Phuket, I know this is near to impossible, yet Gordon has managed to find them. Kayaking around little islands, cruising down a peaceful Klong with no other company except some fisherman and the monkeys, jumping off the 2 meter boat into crystal clear water: this trip is a gem. It's a must if you come to Phuket and would like to experience the real Thailand!

Thanks Capt'n Gordon for a great trip, my wife son & I spent a half day on the boat with another family from Sydney with a couple of small children and we had a great time. Rather than the squashy crash bang, hurry hurry hurry, on off the boat of the regular phuket boat tours River Rovers take you along the bay, up a river to feed monkeys, see plenty of wild life, enjoy a kayak (the monkeys also jumped on for a ride & a banana) visit the fish farm (an absolute must if in Phuket) and a swim in 30 degree water. My only regeret that we booked a half day tour instead of a full day but Gordon went well over time as well, plenty of food beer and great comentary on all things thai, sailing, the sea and he wonderful surroundings. A great family trip, it was safe, clean, flexible with what we did and very welcoming. We will be back again, this is the kind of tour you can do over & over

We were a group of 11 on a family reunion and a day on the water with Captain Gordon was one of the hi-lights of our trip. It was great to go to the fish farm where we purchased fresh lobsters and prawns to eat on the boat whilst cruising around. The monkeys were lots of fun and the kids especailly loved the experience. Gordon's boat is very comfortable and has all the faciltities for a great day out on the water. And who can forget Luck who works hard all day making sure the guests are fed and watered!! Would highly recommend this trip.

We had a fantastic day out with Gordon and his lovely companion Luck.
Gordon arranged for a friend to collect us from Karon Beach and our day had begun. We chose to do a private tour and we started the day with a visit to the gorgeous family on their floating fish farm. Then we were off for a swim on a pretty beach where we were the only people around, and then after a meandering trip around the bays we moored for a delicious lunch cooked by Luck. We turned down the offer of the use of kayak.
Following lunch we were off to feed the monkeys many of which jumped onto the boat where they were swiftly encouraged to stay on the shore, rather than the boat. The afternoon was filled with a gentle cruise along the backwaters where we caught glimpses of the villages life and were treated to friendly waves and smiling faces as we passed. Another quick swim, and we made a quick retreat to the beach before the tide went out too far.
What we liked most was the fact that after a swim, we could have a shower at the back of the boat to hose off the sea water and then could change in the fully fitted out bathroom inside. I had hurt my back and finding it uncomfortable to sit, I was very comfy lying flat out on my stomach watching the world go by.
Gordon was just wonderful, and full of information on Thailand and had great stories of his life prior to that. He has a great sense of fun and made us feel very much at home.
Imagine our delight to find when we got home to find he had emailed us photos of our day so we got to re-live the day again and also some other stunning photos he had taken previously, particularly of the brown winged kingfisher that had eluded us.
Please go and enjoy a lovely leisurely day without the crowd. Gordon and Luck will make you feel very welcome.
Hopefully we can follow up on our day trip with him next time over a few more extended days.
