As we used Trip Advisor extensively before we booked this hotel, I felt it was only fair to return the favour. We spent 10 days at the Hilton last month and upon checkin asked if we could upgrade from a Deluxe Seaview room to one of the Executive Rooms, but were told the hotel was full so this was not possible. This immediately alarmed us as it is such a large hotel we thought it would be noisey and make life difficult, but what a surprise. Our Deluxe Seaview room in the Andaman wing, whilst a little worn, was great and it would have to be one of the quietest hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. Because of all of the comments we read on Trip Advisor we had some concerns about getting a sunbed by the pool by the time we arrived there, most days by about 10am, but didn't ever have a problem with this either. We found Sails Restaurant to be very ordinary for anything other than breakfast, the Indian Restaurant had great food but lacked any atmosphere and we had avoided their signature restuarant, Thai Thai, until almost our last night because of some bad comments that we had read but it would have to be the best meal we had in Phuket. Staff were great. All in all a great experience and would highly recommend.

Aloha... Very great service. from the front desk to the gardners. Saitong Wing looked much newer and bathrooms cleaner than the Adaman wing. Spent 6 nights there with 66 golfers from an airline group from around the world. Will stay there again.

We stayed at the Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa from 1st April to 9th April 2008. We also went to Krabi & Bangkok Phuket was our 2nd stop. The hotel is amazing, it is a massive hotel with extensive grounds. We had an upgrade so had a great room. Breakfast was good too with plently to choose from.
The hotel is across the road from Karon Beach. A lovely long wide golden beach that never seems to get crowded.

The downside to the hotel is that it is expensive for lunch, dinner, etc.. Dinner is expensive as is the Spa. If you go down the road you can have dinner for 300 baht and an hour's massage for the same price. However, I would defintely stay at the Hilton again as it is a good base. Also it is nice and quiet.

There are so many places to check out in Phuket. We checked out Patong but it is extremely busy and crowded with street vendors hassling passers by.

Kata beach & Kamala Beach are worth checking out as is Laem Phrom Laem Thep (sunset point) - we saw an amazing sunset.
All in all we had a fantastic two and a half weeks in Thailand and can't wait to go back!

We spent ten days at the Hilton Arcadia Resort on Karon Beach. What a fantastic resort, a great location and such superb service!

Our little boy suffers from severe allergies and is anaphylactic. Upon our arrival at the hotel, I informed the staff of our situation and WOW what amazing service!

The head chef created a letter (in English and Thai) that detailed the allergies and the life threatening consequence for our toddler. He sent this letter to all the restaurants in the hotel complex and delivered additional copies to us, for use outside the resort. Our room was marked with a status which alerted staff to our dietary constraints. All meals, ordered within the hotel, were rechecked with us. I cannot praise the staff enough for their efforts in this regard.

We found the staff at the resort to be welcoming and friendly with such focus on making your holiday a wonderful memory. The daily aromatherapy oil placed in your room was a lovely touch. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated – a pleasure with two active children.

The hotel pools were beautiful and the grounds well maintained. A large resort but at no time during our stay did I feel that there were too many people about.

We used the resort information desk to arrange most of our sightseeing. Our elephant trekking excursion was fantastic as were all the activities arrange by the resort.

In all, an outstanding hotel and a wonderful place to spend a family holiday.

We will certainly be back!!!
