We arrived on the 9th of July and left on the 12th. We came from Surin after staying at the Twinpalms, and snorkeling all day at the Phi Phi Islands. We booked the room through the hotel website and got a great deal on it (about one seventh of what it would cost in high season). We had an Ocean View King, room number 1011, last one to the left of the stairs.

Skip talked to us when we arrived and explained how the hotel worked and where everything was. The hotel provides free shuttle service to and from the Kata and Karon beach areas all day long because the hotel is high on a very steep hill and a little difficult to find. The views were wonderful! The hotel has lots of DVDs for viewing, a lending library, free internet, a nice pool, and a pool table (not free).

The room was very large, with a kitchenette and large bathroom with separate shower. It looked almost like a small apartment. We watched some of the DVDs while we were there, and also enjoyed walking down and back up the hill as exercise. The room was very clean and bottled water was provided.

Breakfast was nice, fresh fruit, cereal, breads, yogurt, and some other things I can no longer remember. The hotel has a very mellow vibe and is very quiet. A good place to sleep.

Skip, the owner, drove us into town on more than one occasion and gave us good recommendations for restaurants. He drove us to Kata Noi as well, which we liked a lot because the water was clearer and there were far fewer people than at the main Kata area.

We really enjoyed our stay and have no complaints at all. It was a great place with friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere.

“the most chilled out place”

C.C. Bloom's Hotel

14 Jul 2008

I and my partner have just recently returned from a trip to Thailand. we stayed at CC Blooms and both rate it at the best hotel we have ever stayed at.
The surroundings and atmosphere are perfect. The staff are just the kindest and most generous people.
The rooms are good, modern and clean.
The bar area has a very chilled feel and it is all too easy to sit at the bar at night rather than venture to patong.
It is about a 2 minute drive or 20 min walk to the beach and the pool is gorgeous. the views from the ocean rooms and the bar are amazing.
If you want a smallish place to hang out, where the people are friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed then this is perfect.
skip who runs the place is able to answer any questions and help in anyway as do the rest of the staff.
We will definately be heading back again

This is definitely the best place to stay in phuket. it is a beautiful boutique hotel with an ambience that makes you never want to leave.The staff are gorgeous and attentive and exist to make your stay here special. 'Skip' the owner is one of the world's free thinkers and he has created a vibe like no other place on the planet. People in the know stay here and the guests are actually people you enjoy
meeting. It's close to the beach but far enough away to be above it all. My wife and I stayed at woraburi resort because it was recommended by the lonely planet but after staying at CC Blooms which is also listed in the latest lonely planet guide to thailand we were left wondering whether the people at lonely planet had completely lost their marbles. HOMOPHOBES AND BIGOTS should avoid this place like the plague.

“A wonderful escape in Phuket”

C.C. Bloom's Hotel

I stayed at CC Bloom's 10 days this March (sorry for the late review) and really enjoyed the hotel as well as Phuket! The staff at CC Bloom's is really helpful and will organise pretty much anything you need! We had a sea-view room on the upper lever (includes some climbing of stairs but not too much) which was at the end of the terrace. Room was very spacious but did not have a view to the ocean straight from the big window door. That wasn't a problem to us as you could see the ocean from the terrace as well as the bar and the location of the room (end of the upper level terrace) was probably the most private/secluded in the hotel.

If you want a hotel on the beach, this is not your choice. The distance to the beach is surely more than I could think of walking (though I don't mind walking, the temperatures will usually not allow it) but the hotel's free shuttle car to Karon and Kata will take you there and back every two hours. We ended up hiring a motorbike for 8 days which was very handy for sightseeing the southern part of Phuket island (Nai Harn, Ya Nui, Patong, Chalong, Phuket Town). I would highly recommend renting a motorbike to anyone (who knows a bit about driving a motorbike) visiting the island, it's extremely handy and you will see soooo much more!!

The best part about the hotel:
* great views from the hotel terrace/bar
* lots of peace and quiet which you will need after visiting the busy Kata/Karon/Patong centre
* beautiful rooms, beautiful pool
* extremely friendly and helpful staff always at hand when you need them and definitely not in your face when you don't
* great breakfast
* you can take a towel to the beach
* free internet and 2 PC's
* lots of movies to play in the in-room DVD players for those laid-back evenings
* free bottled water
* great restaurant recommendations, spot on every time!

If you have to nitpick....
* the internet didn't always work so don't rely on it 100%, that's not the hotel's fault though
* you are close to the woods + you are in Thailand so you most likely will see some creepy-crawly things -- we had one cockroach in our bathroom and some ants in the kitchenette. Maybe it's just my opinion but this is something you can expect in basically any standard hotel in Thailand so it didn't worry me
* not very many beach chairs at the pool (space is limited) but why would you stay all week at the pool when you're so close to the beautiful beaches.

All in all, probably one of the most memorable (in a positive way) hotels I've ever been, truly enjoyable and wouldn't hesitate coming again! Thanks to all the guys there and keep up the good work :)
