“Impressive First Stay”

I travelled to Istanbul after my high school graduation last June, and found this hotel online before hand while researching hotels that were priced cheaper. Needless to say I was impressed immediately as there was someone waiting for me at the airport right after I had my luggage. However, the area the hotel is in took my breath away, a very beautiful and historical district with plenty I wanted to see in good walking distance.

The staff was friendly immediately upon my arrival, and chatted with me for a while before I decided to wander around a little bit. The staff was friendly and incredibly informative during my stay, and I had a blast talking to one of the employees about soccer/football (Don't get much of that in the U.S.). They even helped me book a great tour for the next day around the city that made my trip. Also, be sure to check out the great view on the top of one of the hotel buildings of the surrounding city and water, it is very impressive.

For the price, the room was incredibly comfortable with every amenity that I could want. I even had a great view of the street with the Blue Mosque just down the block. The breakfast was delicious, as it offered me a wide variety of food I had never tried before. They even were able to get me to the airport an hour earlier than I expected because of a flight time change. In the end, I can't imagine staying at a different hotel, and I will be staying there every trip I take to the city.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
The staff were universally friendly and helpful, the rooms were very nice and the view from the terrace simply stunning.
All our requests - from wanting the room to be warmer to requesting a late check-out - were dealt with professionally and quickly.
This was my third visit to Istanbul and was certainly the best hotel i stayed.
Enjoy.

“Too Expensive for What They Offer!!!”

I reserved this hotel due to the good reviews on TripAdvisor and nice deal on another website. But when we arrived at the hotel we were disappointed.

Decoration of the room was fine just the way it is represented on the websites, but in reality everything was like fake/artificial. They tried to give the impression about romance, and they barely made it, not entirely..

Anyway, I travel more than 30.000 miles every year and this was the worst price/value ratio I've ever seen, in conclusion this hotel is very expensive for what they're offering.. Inside decoration is fine and rooms are in good condition, but there are way better deals and more romantic hotels around..

dear guest.
thanks for ur kind explanation as '' Decoration of the room was fine just the way it is represented on the websites,Inside decoration is fine and rooms are in good condition,'' but the rest of your review is not approved it . which is true..?
We have nothing fake or artifical.u could see the pictures of the rooms and please told me if u booked a room and got the room not u have choosed. we invite u to be honest. Everything is advertised at the web site and if u have booked by a travel web site then rest of the details were emailed to u if u have booked for a budget / economic room type that they were not on our web site. yes our property might be too expensive FOR U but it was your choise. u maight book for other type of rooms anyway they are more expensive. and another thing; if u have booked for a peak period, the price could be really expensive but it was not only at our hotel.i think u have choosed the peak period to stay. it was not our fault. WE RESPECT ALL REVIEWS posted by the guests IF THEY REALY STAYED WITH US.

No complaints. Exceptional value.Location perfect.Staff attentive
and very helpful.More so than higher rated establishments. Also
at a price the retired can afford!!! It being our first visit to Istanbul
we booked with a certain trepidation but discovered an ideal
breakaway holiday and hotel.
Even the carpet sellers are amusing and great value!!!

Great location for visiting Sultanamet, with friendly staff and some charm, but it has many significant problems.
1) Fleas in the bedroom, providing sleepless nights.
2) Breakfast was in a different building in a restaurant on a street around the corner.
3) There was no room service, the food very poor (experimentation was required).
The hotel could do with a general spruce and/or renovation.

dear guest..we respect all reviews posted, check daily /try to find whats wrong with us / develope our service.
1) Fleas in the bedroom, providing sleepless nights.
-if u told to reception about your complaint then sure we would solve the problem.
if not, it was not our fault.
2) Breakfast was in a different building in a restaurant on a street around the corner.
-it is advertised at the web site that the breakfast hall is located at the building where the standard rooms are. if u have booked directly to the hotel for de luxe rooms, please check the form we sent to u,all details about rooms, facilities, payment policy, location etc are advertised very clearly.
3) There was no room service, the food very poor (experimentation was required).
what u meant room service..? our staff are on work 24hrs.and what u meant ''poor food''?
if u have booked by a travel web site then we give WELCOME DINNER to all our guests although it is not advertised.yes, it is welcome dinner.. it might be a welcome tea, coffee or nothing.but if u have booked directly to the hotel and the set menu mail was included, yes sir. it is set menu.. not open buffet..it is advertised at the web site also in the emails that we sent to our guests.
but also we have alacarte menu and u could ask what u want to have, sure for extra payment. and if u meant for breakfast ''poor food'' . yes 12 different pieces of jam/honey/ 10 different tea/flower tea bags/3 different coffee/4 different type of egg/ daily cooked 4 different cakes/ daily different fruites / vegetables according to the season/daily soup/ sausage / salami / 3 different bread / 2 different waffle / chips / milk / crepe with choclate... if u say it was poor... yes it is poor.
4)The hotel could do with a general spruce and/or renovation.
-this is historical bulding.
