I stayed at the hotel with my husband and aunt in June 2006 and we had a fabulous experience. The staff was exceptional. The breakfast was fresh & tasty the room was immaculate. We stayed in the newest addition in the basement next door and loved the marble bathroom and comfy beds. We recommend without hesitation.

We spent 3 nights at Sari Konak in june and really enjoyed it. The staff was really friendly and helpful. We loved the rooftop terrace! Only negative comment: we were asked to change room and for the same price we got a way smaller bedroom and bathroom...

We stayed at the Sari Konak for three nights at the end of a two week trip in Europe. The location is fantastic with great roof-top views of the Blue Mosque in Sultanhamet. The hotel is beautiful with wonderful decor. The staff was so helpful and caring, every time we left the hotel, it was like a family member was seeing us off and making sure we had everything we needed for the day.

I would've given this an excellent rating if we liked our room more. We tried to get a suite, but they were all booked up. Instead we ended up on the first floor with a super tiny room without a view. We booked about two months out, but perhaps this wasn't enough time. Also, we booked via a hotel booking website which didn't let us know that you can get a 10% discount if you pay with cash. I would recommend booking directly with the hotel, you probably would have a better chance at a nicer room.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would love to stay there again.

A truly wonderful experience on my first visit to this breathtaking city spread across two continents.

I booked online in the middle of the night a few hours before my flight. It pays to plan ahead!
I was only staying one night and the website advised me that a single room was not available, only a deluxe double room. Go for it I thought. My confirmation came through straightaway but I decided to ring the hotel as well to check everything was ok.
Unfortunately, the online booking system had had a glitch and Sergun advised me that regretfully the deluxe double room was not available but that he would offer me a suite instead at the same rate! Outstanding customer service!

I arrived very early the next morning, well before checking in time due to the ungodly hour of my flight and was warmly welcomed by Elif on the front desk. Breakfast was being served and I was immediately invited to join the other guests which I did. Wow this is going to be good I thought. I had a chat with Umit, one of the brothers who runs the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble he told me. Just ask.

The suite was on the third floor with a king size bed and two further beds, jacuzzi bath, LCD TV and views of the Blue Mosque.
As other contributors have mentioned the front desk staff are wonderful and will help you all they can during your stay.
Take these as a couple of examples.

Due to unforseen circumstances I had to stay in Istanbul for a further night. No problem I was advised and was promptly offered the suite again at the same rate as before.

And last but not least, on my final morning, I had to meet my brother at the International Airport and was personally taken there by Mustafa in his car on his way home after his night shift.

Truly, truly an experience I'll never forget and I can't wait to go back and see my friends at the Sari Konak Hotel again.
