Thank you for your nice review. Glad you found our portion generous.
We actually want to explain something about the license as we had many comments on this on Tripadvisor.
Why we did not have a license and why others also close to Mosque have one.
The Turkish government passed different new laws concerning alcohol in 2013. The 2013 laws created additional restrictions on obtaining new licenses: no new licenses would be issued for locations less than 100 metres from a school or mosque. As Sirvan Sofrasi was located here after the law was passed in 2013, we do not get a license. As other business might have a license because they were already located here before 2013. Thank you for your understanding!

Food is less than adequate, the owner is merely interested in selling you a package deal for 120 lire than anything else. Fish was really overcooked and dry, stirfried chicken came only lukewarm, which is pretty strange when you stirfry. Don't go here, it is a tourist trap.

We were very confused about your review on Tripadvisor because our staff Oktay, Haci and Veysi would never offer you a package deal. We do NOT have package deals as you could see on our menu on our Facebook page or website. Here you can view the all menu with prices and you really need to eat a full meal with starter, main course, dessert and you would still not pay 120 lire. Our most expensive meal is Ottoman Kebab for 40 TL. So we think you went to another restaurant.
Especially as most of our customers are specially pleased with our service and kindness. We want our customers to feel welcome and come back and not chase them away!

As it was raining we happened to get into Sirvan Sofrasi . We had one of the best Lentil soup along with the freshly baked local bread and the olive paste in the neighborhood, Fried anchovy, Meat wrap and amazing turkish tea with baklava. A very friendly and good atmosphere.

Thank you for your review. We glad you enjoyed our lentil soup so much. Maybe our chef can share his recipe on our website.
