We stayed for less than two weeks, during which if we had not begged our linen would not have been changed, breakfast was very basic, and management was trying to economise by not putting all the food out at the same time, so our family would sit for breakfast with no eggs, which would then appear for the next group sitting down!! So not the best Israeli breakfast that I have had.
There was only one house keeper working who was: to change the towel, set breakfast table, wash dishes, change linen from vacant rooms, whom starts early morning and has to finish by Midday, with some interim help. So even physically poor soul cann't do more.
Nunns were not happy for us to use Iron (using electricity) and it was not till they saw that the clothes were not too wrinkled they seemed to relax!.
I guess while traveling with young kids u r rather limited in where u can comfortably go outside of some countries, so it was OK, as all four of us could stay in one room.
Sheets seemed as old as the Guest house (but clean), convenient to call a sherut from down stairs, No tea or coffee at kitchen, so you should take ur own, basic cooking stuff for making a meal.
If couples traveling may want to check nearby hotels rate such as colony whom had more fun and comfort than those stayed in our guest house.
