We arrived promptly for our reservation only to be told that our table wasn't ready. No matter that several other tables were open and could have easily accommodated our small group. After being kept waiting for 30 minutes, we were finally given a table--a different one than they had indicated we were waiting for since that one was still occupied. I was surprised to see another review where a party was given wine while they waited, we were pretty much ignored. And after we were finally seated and starving, it was another 15 minutes before they took our order, and there was a huge time lag between the appetizers and main course.
All this could have been forgiven if the food was good. It wasn't. The beef carpaccio (my fiance's favorite appetizer) was the worst either of us had ever had--cut too thickly, it was tough, hard to eat and not very flavorful (except for the overly sweet sauce). The calamari was very tasty, though there was only one piece of chorizo in the whole dish. wtf.
On to the mains--bland bland bland. The only decent thing any of us had was the beef bourguignon. the seafood provencal was so unimaginative, I couldn't believe it was recommended by the waiter, the ravioli was just an odd flavor combo, the mussels simply blah. Won't be going back, and certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone who cares about food.
Atmosphere was good, at least it had some energy, but didn't make up for the uninspired cooking.
