Had a weekend stopover at Four Seasons Doha enroute from Singapore to Johannesburg. Decided on this hotel for it location which is on the waterfront and close to city attractions. Doha is a smaller city and all around hotel construction is taking place which does not steal from the sea view or pleasant but artificially created small beach.
Check in was swift and despite being early , I was allocated my superior deluxe room immediately. Rooms met all expectations and was luxuriously furnished with gold plated fittings and kingly marble bathroom.
As I had just got off an overnight flight and needed to adjust my time zones, I tried out the spa on arrival to unwind and relax. This was magnificent and the spa private and serene with a range of treatment hot and cold water pools..The outside pool area is also very impressive with lots of interlinked pools and water features. As I visited during mid summer, occupancy was low and pool area very quiet.The hotel has a very impressive lobby and beautiful flowers which changed daily.
I only had breakfast in this hotel once which was very good didnt get to try the other restaurants although I noticed a very nice tea room off the lobby area as well. I visited the nearby City Centre mall and Souk Wasif and taxis had to be called for, (unlike Dubai where they are plentiful and always waiting) However I was asked to give the driver my room no. so that taxi fares could be charged to my bill..This was quite useful as I didnt have much local currency on hand as it was just a one night stopover.
To sum up.. my experience was excellent, service was good and hotel up to Four Season standards no doubt.
I would recommend this hotel for business travel as well as couple getaway. and would definately come back.

The hotel itself is only 20-25 mins from the airport. We booked a premier room with a sea view through the Four seasons website and were not disappointed. . The rooms are large, with TV and DVD player. Bathroom has a separate toilet room, walk-in shower, bath and large sink. There is a balcony, but it is a step out only (i.e 2 feet wide). I would recommend getting the sea view rooms, as the land view would only be of other buildings and construction sites. The hotel has a 200m private beach and on one side there is a small marina. There are a couple of large pools and a few smaller pools with waterfalls (all temperature controlled).
The beach is manicured every morning and the beach staff are happy to serve you with beer, cocktails etc. There is a volleyball net as well as a small putting green in the gardens.
At certain times of the day, you do get an occasional "buzz" from the planes taking off from the airport, but on the whole it doesn't disturb too much.
There is a wide selection of buffet breakfast items, from fried eggs to Japanese miso soup. Although there is no pork items.

The staff at this hotel are fabulous, from the bellhops to the restaurant staff, all were courteous, attentive and happy to help.

Highly recommend this hotel, I for one will certainly be back.

We are a married business couple, travelling half the year to many different locations and wish to command this hotel, staff and management with top rating! Though we stayed during Ramadan and were not able to enjoy a good glas of wine with our food (ah well, detox...:-)), our 8 days stay was delightful, to say the least. Very, very attentive staff, very good facilities (try the spa!!), a well equipped gym, very nice interior features overall, just made this stay outstandingly memorable. Even if you don't have to attend to businessmatters, try this place for a luxurious getaway, with outstanding service and guaranteed sunshine! Especial thanks to the Pool staff and the staff at the Brasserie and Spa Restaurant. They were pampering us like there is no tommorrow!

If you like Golf, you will enjoy the Golf Club nearby. We will be back!

Stayed for a week in this grand hotel. Room upgraded by them on arrival. It was huge! The staff were superb. They called us by name at every contact. It's the little things that make the holiday. Facilities good. Spa excellent. Girls treat yourself to an hour long facial, it's worth the money. Very family friendly and safe. Post Ramadan the hotel is not busy so staff out number guests, making it a good time to visit. Do splash out and try "Il Teatro" great Italian chef - Best in the Gulf? Some may find prices on the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Lots of building going on around the hotel but not intrusive. Do go to Doha before it becomes the 2nd Dubai!
