great new hotel with wonderful mostly young lebanese good looking staff.
big rooms, great airy sunny lobby and atrium.
delicious food, u gottta try their club sandwich,mmmmm.
and what a view of doha from their rooftop swimming pool.

This was my second stay in Doha this year and a frind recommended the newly-opened Millennium and I'm he did , because this hotel turned out to be fantastic.

Only a few months old, you enter a lavish chocolate colored lobby with crystal chandeliers and a beautiful atrium. The lobby coffeeshop offers delicious snacks and drinks.

The rooms are some of the most hi-tech I've ever seen with black flat screen TV's, interactive programs, wi-fi etc. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the bathrooms stocled with amenities.

The breakfast was also excellent and varied.

I also attended a meeting in their meeting room and have to thank both Joelle and Elie for their help.
Dalia at the reception was also very professional.

Some previous posters have complained about this hotel, but I guess it was just opening and getting its act together. Now, I really think it's up there with the best Gulf hotels.

The rooftop swimming pool was also excellent.

The hotel's location is in mid-town and not overlooking the Arabian Gulf, however it's next to a big shopping mall and a very commercial street.

Like Doha, this hotel is far from finished. Give it 6 months and it should be okay, at best. However, it is not that near to the business district and it does not always have taxis available. The staff try very hard (although they try very hard in most hotels), but they can only do so much ...

Even though this hotel is only a few weeks old, I had the misfortune to experience its unprofessionalism during my many trips to the Middle East.

The hotel has only 5 of its 7 floors open. You enter a nice mid-size chocolate -colored lobby with an atrium and an impresive coffeeshop but that's where the nice stuff ends.

I asked the receptionist if it was possible for me to check the rooms before checking in. She said it was no problem and asked me to take a seat. However after waiting for 20 minutes, she returned and told me that they were fully booked and that I couldn't be shown any room.

This was obviously a lie since she would have known beforehand if her hotel was fully booked. So I guessed no one from sales was in the mood to show me their rooms.

Then another employee came to me and told me that they had one room available which i took since all Doha hotels were fully booked.

The room I finally stayed in was only average and certainly didn't deserve the $250 rate I was given.

But the worst thing about this hotel is just the total indifference of most of its staff and I could sense that from most if not all of them. You feel that they are in no mood to be bothered.That spells serious trouble for a month old hotel!!!!
