I stayed here in May, and we were one of the only guests in the hotel given the conditions in Syria. However, things were quite normal in Damascus during our time there and we had a terrific time in Seidnaya, Damascus, and Bludan where we traveled. Overall, the hotel is wonderfully decorated and has a beautiful touch. The breakfast is free daily and is excellent. Their chef is so kind. The entire staff were wonderful to no end and seemed to genuinely care for us as guests. The service was above and beyond any five star chain hotel and the rooms, while not very large, were decorated extravagantly and to the tune of the old city times with a modern and elegant touch. This hotel is truly special and was very unexpected for Damascus given the first impressions I had at the airport, traveling around, and before this first trip to Syria.
