We stayed at Hostel Sue (Calle 16 no. 2-55) rather than the other 'party' Hostel Sue Candeleria. This hostel was much less party and was sending party seekers round the corner to the bar in the other hostel - although all guests were young and it was lively until 10 or 11 in the evening with both TV room and courtyard busy.
The hostel was clean and the bedrooms comfortable although some were quite noisy. The showers were exellent, the advertisement of REALLY hot water is spot on - a real rarity for Colombia.
The staff were very friendly, (as an aside unlike the Platypus hostel next door where on 2 seperate occassions (including one where they lost our reservation) the main guy working there could not in any way have been less helpful - we really didn't like the vibe there and in comparison, Hostel Sue was great). The breakdast in the morning was simple but a great start to the day, and internet was free. Security was good.
The location is good, near both the Candaleria, SImon Bolivar Plaza and Las Aguas Trans-milenio (Bogota transit system) terminal.
Recommended - particularly as a starting point for travellers arriving in Bogota.
