We stayed here July 2009 for 3 nights. We are a family of 5 so we got 2 rooms on the ground floor. One of the rooms were bigger and slightly nicer, The other room facing the back garden was not very appealing. None of the rooms had a bathroom. We got our own bathroom down the corridor. It all smelled a bit, and the furniture looked nothing like the ones on the pictures on their website.
I assume the bedrooms upstairs are in better shape.
The staff was very friendly and helpful though, and the breakfast was nice. Location is very nice. Right on the harbour and town center on close walking distance.
If returning I would take my money and go somewhere else. Probably the "Little Italy", although it is a little far away.
What definately makes Tonga worth the trip are the island groups off the main Island. Ha'apai and Va'vau was lovely! One day on the main island is enough.
