We stayed here for 1 night during our 2 day Cairo tour from our cruise ship. After spending 9 days in a cabin, this hotel was a very nice break to the cruise ship quarters.
We had a room on the "4th floor" which was actually about the 8th, due to the lobby and other conference room floors. Every room had a view of the Nile. The room was very spacious. The bed was comfortable. The flat screen TV was a nice treat. We actually had more English speaking channels than in Rome. The bathroom was a good size. The "ceiling" shower head was very nice.
We encountered 2 issues while there; only 1 the hotel had control over. The phone was not working. We tried to call the front desk to set up a wake-up call, but everytime we picked up the receiver, the phone went dead. Lucky for us, the TV had a wake up timer (which worked). The second issue was with the elevators. When you have 400 people check in and out at the same time, you expect delays with the 6 elevators. The hotel was not only used for the cruise tour but there was a very big wedding party there. We actually had to go up to get down.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cairo. It was centrally located. It was about a 30 minute drive by bus to the pyramids.
