we did enjoy ourself with lovely staff especially osama,they are 3 star only but they serve more with friendly atmosphere

The room we had over looked refuse and an ally way at the back of the hotel - you would think that they would have cleaned it up.
Airconditioning did not work, windows were not lockable
Bathroom didnt look clean due to damage round tiles and bathroom floor
Meals were mediocre and not very hot
Staff were friendly
On return trip we were given a 'better' room at the front of the hotel but the noise from the traffic was disturbing

Had a really great stay here. It's not that there's anything revolutionary about it, its just that its got everything you need for the ideal stay in Cairo. I've been to Cairo several times and find it quite hectic, but the Havana makes it all ok. The rooms and beds are quite large, and very comfortable, and the showers are almost like power showers, something that's very unusual in Egypt beleive me!! The staff are helpful but don't hassle you like they often do at other places. then there's its location, in a great area for just wondering round and soaking up the atmosphere, with several nice loooking restaurants nearby, but also easy access to the sights, and quite central. And the hotel itself has quite a good restaurant as well, plus a sheesha bar next door for chilling out and having a beer. Its just ideal!! As I say, nothing about it is revolutionary, but, especailly in Cairo, its very very rare to find somewhere that has all of the above, without any hassle, and is cheap!!

We stayed in the Havana hotel as part of a tour group. The rooms were large and clean and comfortable and the en-suite was very nice. It is in mohandiseen and is a handy taxi ride away from the cairo museum and the pyramids. I would stay here again.
