Let me Inn is the recent hostel in Cairo and is a very good one. I stayed there in January so don't know how it is in summer - might be slightly problematic without A/C and with the showers in the same room as toilet, you might wait a long before acceed to the toilet waiting for people who is taking shower on hot summer days. And the water evacuation system in the shower is not perfect: water just drops on the floor so the next person could go in and found one inch of water on the floor. Apart these small problems hostel is close to perfect. The main advantage is the staff. They are really here to help you, not pushy about tours at all, even if the tours they propose can probably be found cheaper elsewhere. If you have a problem they will really try to help you and will spare no efforts in order to sort it out. Rooms are clean and beds are new and comfortable, the blanket (they give you the only one, so it might be wise to take your own) looks clear, the towel is provided. The breakfast consists in omlette, three rolls, delicious egyptian pancake, piece of cheese, butter and jam. The tea and coffee is available all the day and served any time you want which is a real plus. Another excellent thing is a wi-fi free connection, otherwise there is a computer at your disposition. Please make sure the address is 19bis (in the yard) and not 19 (Select hotel), it is not the same thing. I stayed in other two hostels in Cairo and this was the best of three.
