Stayed with tour group for two nights at this hotel. It was a very long walk (2 blocks) to get to the room which had no elevator for the second floor - had to carry luggage up. In addition two flights of stairs to eat everyday. Better to stay at pool side ground floor.

On the positive staff was very friendly, pool was nice and food was fine.

Simply put IC need to close this place down and start again; if you have the choice avoid it. If IC choose to close and refurbish they should use the time to train the staff by taking them to Singapore or Thailand so that they can learn about customer service rather than open palm begging for undeserved tips.

My stay started badly before I had even arrived with the car i had booked with the hotel at the airport (a corolla !) had been parked in the sun with no AC running; and they didn't provide water or cooling towels so the first 20 of the hour long journey minutes were most unpleasant. On arrival at the hotel my room wasn't ready for 20 minutes; they cant have not expected my arrival; i had ordered a car from the airport with them.

The hotel is arranged like a motel; with lots of small residential blocks around a garden and pool (indeed those with cars could park under the rooms). The rooms are dark and have very cheap furniture - plastic chairs for the balcony - and generally feel as though they are stuck in the late 70's. The furniture was arranged without any thought; I had a suite and a good example was the mystery placement of the lavatory flush which was in the shower! Though the room did have two bathrooms (one on each of the floors.) The desk didnt have any power sockets at desk level for your laptop / cellphone which meant a scrabble under the furniture and wishing i had brought the longer apple power cables. The TV reception must have been designed to let egyptians know what Snow looks like and as a result was unwatchable. The internet access was slow especially for the price - 22$ a day; the free internet access at Cairo airport was better.

The regular irrigation of the gardens by hose and sprinkler allowed those foolish enough to use the paths to get a nice spray by water of unknown origin each time they walked past. The gardens were ok with trees over the paths for some shade.

The pool is huge; and a nice retreat from the sun its only open when the sun is up and on Friday / Saturday they had very loud music playing around the pool that made it anything but an oasis of calm.

Any hotel though relies on its staff and they just let the side down; they run this place run unlike any five star hotel i have ever stayed in; 5 star usually means doing just about anything for the customer and i had to get used to hearing no from the staff. The hotel car service is run by Hertz and the price changes every time you ask someone (and i'm sorry if you are IC Hotel having a fixed price for a car to the airport is something that should be easy to set in stone.) I am not convinced that using Corolla's rather than a Camry is also a good choice for a hotel car - armrests and adjustable headrests are usually good in a chauffeured car; as are rear seat air vents when in a 35 degree heat. The bathroom attendant in the main lobby expected a tip. One night I asked for diet coke in the "Italian" restaurant only to be told they didn't have any; when i suggested they walked 50m to the main hotel bar and get one i was given a blank stare. I'm not used to the word "No" being used in a five star hotel; at least by the staff. The food itself was ok though; far from special and with presentation not something they were thinking about. There is lots of choice for food; with restaurants offering sandwiches, buffets to BBQs. The room service food was good too; with a nice selection of food from the different menus (and they let me go off menu too.) The in room minibar was under-stocked with water / sodas with an emphasis on beer and candy; it was restocked easily enough though. Checking out took 30 minutes which was unbelievable; the bill was correct first time I was just sidelined as others pestered the check in staff. All in all an unforgettable experience that makes me think about switching to Hiltons HHonors.

“Mostly Good Experience.”

Stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a group tour. The room was large enough, with a TV, a table and chairs, and a large closet. I'm giving the hotel four stars although I feel the room could have been kept cleaner. The breakfast and dinner buffets, which were included in the tour, contained a good variety of food items. Get there early especially at dinner. This is a hotel used by various tour groups so it quickly gets busy. Breakfast was especially nice early in the morning as the food was fresh and the staff able to give guests individual attention. Pool was always busy but closed early enough that it did not disrupt my sleep. Be prepared for mosquitos, all tour members were bitten, some more than others. Hotel staff were accommodating but kept busy with so many guests. Hotel is not centrally located but works for tour groups as our days were structured with activities and there was not any personal time. I'm not sure it would be convenient for independent travelers.

I was with a chruch group, we came to Egypt following a tour of Israel. This was a wonderful way to end our trip. The room was large and clean. The bathroom was also clean and modern.

the food was so/so as we had been told to avoid any fresh food but the salads did look good. Breakfast was especially good.

We were on the tour bus all day so did not get to use the pool but it looked great!

Had a little trouble finding the room initially and like everywhere in Egypt, everyone had their hand out everytime I turned around.

“Great place to stay and shop some nice curios. Pretty close to the pyramids and”

Nice and neat Hotel. Pretty near the Pyramids. Beautiful poolside rooms and romantic setting for the dinner by the pool: ) The rooms are good and hygienic. Excellent food. The shops in the hotel sells some curios which are rare and good quality. If you can’t walk too long better to request a room near to the reception-Since the rooms we stayed was pretty far…almost a morning jog brings you to the reception! Money changer and internet available. We enjoyed our stay.

Tip:Ask for the room facing the Pool.
