Stayed at this resort at the beginning and the end of my time in Egypt. I will share my thoughts on both stays. This was the first place we went after getting off the plane. I had been up so long by this time that I would not have cared if it had been a Motel 6! I just wanted to lay down! Anyway, it seemed to take a while to get the rooms organized. They could use some improvement in their signage to find rooms, or they could include a map with your room key. I had a room with 2 double beds. As a single traveller, I kind of thought this was a waste (a family could have used it). The room was functional but the a/c didn't cool very fast and I had to ask twice for maintenance to come and give me hot water in the shower. The TV remote is hard to figure out, but once I got it, there were at least 3 or 4 english-speaking stations. Nice pool area, but this hotel is right on a traffic circle as other reviews have already stated, so it is very noisy. Tried to get a massage in the spa, but apparently they only wanted a woman to massage another woman and their lady massueses were already booked. They have a large breakfast buffet which is included with your room. There is cereal, fruit, an omelette station, fruit juices, coffee, tea. There was a mix-up on room charges upon check-out the first time but I had receipts to back me up. You can buy bottled water at the lobby bar. It is more expensive (13 Egyptian pounds compared to 5 elsewhere), but there are really no stores closeby. That first stay my room was on the ground floor with a courtyard away from the traffic noise (a photo is included). The second stay, at the end of my journey, I had a room upstairs with a view of the pyramids (another photo is included). This was an amazing sight! If you request a room like this (with a king bed), be sure you have your earplugs with you because it also overlooks that traffic circle and the noise did not abate all night long. In that lobby bar they have a singer at night. Some newfound friends got me up to sing (I am not sure if that happens all the time) so it can be fun. The tequilla sunrises are good. Skip the margaritas. There is a good restaurant 3 blocks away where you can get quail, ka-bobs, pita bread, etc. The name is close to Fefer?? Sorry, I thought I wrote that down. I would stay here again, but this hotel is really far away from the downtown area. If you want to be closer to the Eqyptian museum, the markets, Coptic Cairo, etc., you need a different hotel. Otherwise, it was pleasant enough for a few nights and very close for seeing the pyramids and the sphinx.
