Honestly I feel like that the place is over hyped. First the location is not all that, since the entrance of the restaurant is near a bus stop and the buses and matatus like to block the entrance and someone who doesn't know the place can easily miss the entrance. parking is also an issue since the inside parking lot is small and you have to park outside, but they have security added security for that.
we were a big group, made a reservation for 15 people but some cancelled last minute and we were 11. The host was gracious enough to show us to our table and that is where trouble started. The napkins were damp and when we complained to our waiter he insisted that its because of the air conditioning and that they are not damp but cold, but upon insisting that they are damp that is when he admitted that they might have been removed from the laundry while still damp and placed on the tables. That aside we decided to ignore and try and enjoy ourselves. we requested for hot towels to clean our hands before eating and they were not hot, just warm bordering on cold. Salad bar was okay and the meats were just okay, nothing special. food service was fast but we had to insist on the prawns being brought out. Went to the washroom and it did not have water, upon asking one of the waiter for a hot towel to clean my hands, I am told that we are allowed only one towel upon arrival. Had to insist and stand at the entrance to be given a towel to clean my hands. Now once the bill was brought out, they had billed us for 15 people and we were 11, and the waiter said that they bill according to the number of people you reserve. In all my life I have never heard such bull in my life. We insisted and the bill was amended.
In short, I would never recommend this place. service was mediocre if not poor, food was average. we have had the pleasure of doing Tamarind and they were way better, that was an experience. Maybe we came with high expectations because of that but whatever it is, we were not pleased.
