Going to Kenya was me and my 20 year old sisters dream. We have spoken with many company’s in order to find a local tour, it took us months. And as being 2 girls, we really wanted to find a safe tour company. We were looking for a 3 day Masai Mara trip. I believe that I was so lucky to find East Adventure Tours and its manager Fred. First of all we started emailing. I was writing an email and receiving a reply in just few minutes each time. As being a person travelling the world, it is really not so easy and fast to receive replies from such companies. Each time Fred answered all our questions with details. I think that the price he has given was the best, with the service he supplies. On the first morning, our guide and driver Leonard came to pick us up from Nairobi. We preferred to go by road, and I am happy that I did. As we had the chance to see the real Africa on the roads, on the way to Masai Mara. When we arrived to Masai Mara area, we directly started for Safari and at the end of the day we checked in to our lodge. Leonard was a wonderful game spotter. It is so important to have a guide knowing this much about the animals (and he has an extra talent with knowing everything about birds). Maybe its a detail, but when spotting a Cheetah having a Thompson Gazelle as a lunch there are lots of vehicles surrounding at that time and its important to be at the best location. I am pretty sure that we were always at the best spot for taking photos. He was also changing the direction of the car according to the sun, so that we can have a better shot :) Besides the Safari, the Mara Sopa Lodge we had stayed was so relaxing and very clean. Our Masai Village visit was just an unforgettable experience. Just keep in mind that you can take some tshirts, toys and mostly sweets (all the kids ask for it) when going to visit. They prefer not to open theirselves to the world, and keep their rituals and traditions. They believe that the more things you have the more you will want more and get unhappy in life. It is so true and a big lesson to learn. And its for sure that not just the hotel staff but all Kenyan’s are so nice and polite. Me and my sister, we never felt in a bad position, we always felt safe. I want to thank Fred and Leonard for all their effort. I am sure that I will come back to Kenya one day. And 100% I will be having a tour arranged by them.
