Within easy walking distance of the Forbidden City, the elegant and tasteful Raffles Hotel Beijing brings new meaning to the concept of location location location! The staff is personable, caring, efficient, and delightful. The Bar is the perfect refuge from stress and the 21st century. Breakfast is efficient, plentiful, with a huge variety , and a great way to gear up for a day of scaling the Great Wall, ambling about the forbidden city, the Temple of Heaven, and the Ancient observatory-not to mention the proximity to Wangfujing and the amazing shopping and restaurant experiences there.
The room service is prompt, well priced, and has nice variety of choices.
The entire staff is service oriented, pleasant, and eager to make one's stay a delight.
The size is perfect - small, but with gracious and spacious elegant touches and ample public room. I would stay nowhere else in Beijing.
