My husband and I stayed at the Shamrock Hotel (Hong Kong) for six nights in july 07. The location is excellent all forms of transport on the doorstep. Shops and markets are plentiful and also nearby. The hotel was excellent the staff are most helpful.our room was excellent and spotless the maid changed sheets and towels daily and also replenished toiletries daily. Their is a safe in the bedroom that is free of charge also the mini-bar prices are the cheapest we have ever come across. If you are planning a trip to Hong Kong and want a great hotel bang in the middle shops,restaurants,markets and all modes of transport then book into the shamrock. Its the best.

Was in Shamrock in end May/early June 2005. Hotel was very good. Check-in was smooth, staff very friendly. Rooms are quite big (for HK hotels) and are very clean. No complains for this hotel.

Hotel is just next to Nathan Road & Jordan MTR. Very convenient to get around.

I am so glad the travel agent recommended this hotel. It's not particularly big or new, but makes up for all that and more with its location, location, location!

The hotel's less than a stone's throw away from Jordan MTR, which is great for mid-day breaks: Shop, drop off the bags, and it's off to the shops again! Also, there's the convenience and draw of good and cheap food in the neighbourhood.

We stayed in a room with two single beds the first night, and that was small though adequate. The other three nights we moved to a larger room with a double bed and a lovely view of the bustling streets below. Both rooms were clean and gave us enough room to sprawl our shopping about.

Service also was warm and prompt... though the airport transfer ran slightly late both upon arrival and when departing.

Yep, there's no doubt about it: I'll definitely return to Shamrock!

I stayed in the hotel for four nights, from June 15 to June 19. As for location, overall it was great, the hotel is near everything - the bus stop is right in front of the hotel doors, the Jordan MTR station is just around the corner, walk a couple of blocks and you're at the Bowring Street Market. Walk further from Bowring and you're at Temple Road. Park Lane is also near, walk a few blocks from the hotel's entrance and you're there. Needless to say, the Nathan Rd area is very well lit, so going around at night shouldn't be much of a problem.

For those on tight budgets, convenience stores are in the area, there are about 2 7-Eleven's that are within walking distance, and a couple of Circle K's as well. Small Chinese restaurants are in the area too, if you want the whole authentic Chinese-cooked food experience. :-)

The rooms, although small, are very clean, comfortable and well lit. The airconditioning works well, making the room even more comfortable. As expected, the room's bathroom is small, it was rather difficult to move around, especially when you're in a hurry to go somewhere. The room that I got didn't have windows though, aside from the frosted-glass panels in the bathroom.

The staff are very friendly, always ready to answer questions and entertain requests.

I didn't plan on staying inside the hotel room for long, I was there to sleep, take a shower, and keep my shopping safe. Shamrock provided all that, so it was all good. Next time I visit HK, I'd definitely stay in Shamrock.
