This is an old hotel that really needs some renovation works but it is an affordable hotel.
It is not near any MTR station but they have a free shuttle bus that takes you to Sheung Wan MTR station/ Macau Ferry terminal and to the airport express at IFC Mall. IFC Mall is also near the Star Ferry Pier that takes you to Tsim Sha Tsui to the Harbour City Mall.
There is also a tram stop in front of the hotel (stop 88 W if you are coming from Central ).
The rooms are a normal size for Hong Kong standards. You have space to move.
We stayed in a twin room with 2 beds that are really one person bed.
I have two kids and I had almost no space to move sleeping with my 6 years old daughter, imagine my husband with our 9 years son!
The room still had a desk with a TV, the old ones, not yet the flat screen that saves space, and had a small table with two chairs.
The toilet is quite funny because the shower is in a cubicle that I think was supposed to have Jacuzzi but we didn’t manage to find how it worked. And it is really small; you don’t have space to move. But the toilet does have space because there is even a “table” with a stool to do the make-up, besides the normal lavatory.
The view from our room was nothing special, just to the top of some buildings; it was what we can call a city view.
The room rate didn’t included breakfast and I saw a notice when checking in stating that it was HKD 80 + 10% service charge and that hotel guests had a 20% discount. But I didn’t buy breakfast; we took the tram to a Deifrance, a little after Wing On Department store, a few tram stations from the hotel.
We went for dinner buffet at the Momo cafe in Courtyard, just in front of our hotel as Ramada doesn’t have buffet, only a Chinese restaurant. There are other restaurants near the hotel that we didn’t try. There is also a 7-11 mini store on the other side of the street.
After all not that bad for the price, but it could be more clean.
