Stayed 2 nights. Grand Victorian-styled hotel with great staff and service. Wonderful spacious and very clean room with subtle cute Disney decor/items, awesome beds, lots of cartoons on the TV, good airco, great bathroom and balcony.
We enjoyed only one meal in the hotel, the Enchanted Garden dinner buffet, which was amazing. Yes we went so our daughter could meet the Disney characters (they have Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto, who all came by our table at least twice during our two hour-stay) but the amazing Asian food was plenty of reason for us adults to enjoy. Loved the fresh sushi and seafood, Indian food, Chinese food, pizza, kids' section, fruit and desserts (with chocolate fountain). Only negative was that the ice cream machine broke down during the dinner and wasn't fixed during our meal.
Free wi-fi in the lobby. Nice warm swimming pools (outdoor and indoor). Free regular shuttles between Disneyland entrance (and MTR) and the hotel. Disney store in the hotel (same prices as in Disneyland itself).
Hotel is expensive but worth it. We booked the hotel directly via e-mail at HKD 2,420 per night (EUR 230 / USD 300), as it was difficult to book via Internet travel sites (which often incorrectly showed no availability). Taxi from/to the airport was around HKD 120, pretty cheap.
Minor negatives were the charge for the kids playroom and the expensive breakfast. Also based on other reviews, we did not eat breakfast there as we prefer light breakfasts anyway. We took the shuttle to the next door Hollywood hotel and bought some decent breakfast breads and muffins at the "Hollywood & Dine" - which is a deli, not really a restaurant. We also ate dinner one night at the "Studio Lounge" restaurant in the Hollywood hotel; avoid! The food was very mediocre and the service was abysmal (no service really, all our drinks and food arrived in random order minutes apart, kids meal came last...).
