I've been to Jakarta quite a numbers. I've stayed at this hotel twice. Perfect location for shopping. The ITC just a few step from the hotel. No need to spend money for taxi fare. At this ITC you may find a lots of kinds of goods, best for ladies. Don't forget to bargain. Mangga 2 ITC is one of the famous shopping place in Jakarta.

At night you can visit the night market just around the hotel area. The goos are not so quality but good bargains. Local fruits, local foods, local cakes etc you can find there. But be carefull of some naughty guys (for ladies/girls like me). I experienced this where a few guys want to say hello (i guess) but not in a good way.

For foods, you can find Mc Donald, A&W and there is a food court in the ITC where you can find choices of local dishes. Food stalls also available just in front of the hotel and around the hotel area if you dare to try.

This hotel also located near to Anchol, where Jakarta Dreamland Park located. There is also a seafood restaurant located in Ancol where you can enjoy varoius of seafoods with live band performance.
For those want to try for traditional spa / massage, you may visit Family Spa located just a few steps from the hotel.

At this hotel also, it is easier for you to get taxis (Blue Bird) as they already waits you in front of the hotel at anytime you need them. So to go around Jakarta is not a problem if you stay at this hotel.

Hotel located next to 3 shopping complex
1. Pasar pagi mangga dua (selling all kinds of clothing)
2. ITC mannga dua (selling all kinds of electronic accessories/pc/cd/....)
3. shoping caomplex mannga dua

Very convenience for those who like to shops.
Price are cheap.
30-40 minute to another shopping paradise "Tanah abang"
taxi cost around rupiah 25000-27000.

Bluebird taxi stand (mainly for blue bird) located not far from hotel main entrance.

Hotel facility
1. swiwwing pool (level 6)
2. sauna (level 6-free)
3.Spa -lobby floor (price ranging frm rupiah 60000--onward (base on package)

Foood...no problems,there's mcdonal..blah.balh.blah..
(to try indonesian food just go to either one of the shopping complex and look for "Food court" )

From hotel to cengkareng airport will take 30-40 minute
(depend on traffic) ...cost roughly rupia 80000 + plus rupiah 10000 (toll fee)

...Will come again and stay in the same Hotel.

The Ibis Mangga Dua is in the outskirts of the city - its good value and we were happy with the hotel and our room.
The airport is a 40 minute taxi ride away - which cost us £5 (100,000 rupiah) including the road tolls and a tip. Just make sure you use the Bluebird taxis who seem to be the local taxi company that you can trust - we did use a couple of other taxis while we were there but one refused to use his meter so we got out and the other took us the long way round. At the traffic lights the taxis are surrounded by people selling various items (if you ignore them they go away) - on one occasion, the seller had a bush baby which he put on the taxi window and let it crawl so we could see it!!
If you leave the hotel to have a walk, there is a shopping centre nearby (more like an indoor market) with lots of bargains, but remember to barter. There are street vendors selling food outside the hotel but we didn't try them, there is also a McDonalds nearby.
There is a busy local market in the street outside the hotel and if you wander into the back streets you will see where the locals live. As we were wandering around we felt perfectly safe - but were the only westerners in the area - which attracted the attention of the locals, who just wanted to say hello.
