I stayed there for two days between two business trips. The Mulia Senayan is a very busy hotel with a lot of receptions and events - its restaurants appear to be frequented by locals as well. I liked the vivid athmosphere. I booked a room on the executive floor. The room was very large and nicely while conservatively decorated. Everything functioned well and the room was super clean. What I particularly liked was the very silent aircon! The executive lounge however is not worth the money: very limited food offering especially what the hotel calls "high tea" is in reality the left over croissants from breakfast. Nothing to do with high tea. But for fans of Japanese high tech toilets and showers as well as aromatherapeutic shower amenities the executive rooms are worth the money. The food at the main restaurant The Cafe was disappointing whereas the Pool Bar served a fantastic portobello mushroom wrap. The first day the Pool bar staff forgot my order, but the supervising waitor remembered the second day and was super friendly and very apologetic. Human errors happen, no offense on my side. Mulia Senayan has a suberb gym. Plenty of different equipment and all in perfect shape. Music not too loud so you can still bring your own music. Do not pay for a massage however - the hotel calls it SPA but the treatment rooms are just refurbished hotel rooms with normal shower and bath tubs. No spa feeling at all. The staff even airconditioned the room - meaning I was really cold when I got the massage. The poor therapist was also cold judging from the temperature of her hands. NEVER EVER AGAIN. Laundry is also not perfect, I had one cardigan cleaned. It came back still smelly. I have stayed in better 5Star hotels but overall the stay was pleasant. I would try one of the other 5stars next time however.
