the Ibis Tamarin is a budget friendly hotel.

I found the room to be an OK size - seemed bigger than what other's had described. Certainly Ok for a couple with luggage. The aircon worked well, room was clean, no bad smell.

The location was OK. A few places to see near by, and not too far to some of the main shopping centers n sites.

I was able to book a room for about $45 US which is reasonable for Jakarta.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed there with my aunty , her 2 children and 3 friends.

The hotel is ok from outside but the room is super dirty (referring to the carpet)

The room is small, but can fit another extra bed. They provide kettle and TV and desk

the toilet is ok
the staff is ok
the breakfast buffet is ok
the lighting is ok

I stayed at Ibis Tamarin because this hotel was the only hotel that is not fully booked. Went there with my boyfriend (from holland). knowing that i was with my foreign bf, the employees there gave us bad service as if i were a hooker that my bf could find on the street
(the area called Sabang is likely famous as the prostitution area). Later after my bf's friend (who is an indonesian man with his wife wearing veil), they became nice and served good service. Besides, the
hotel room is very small with the rates at that time around IDR 450.000, compared to menara peninsula in west jakarta. The room is small, and the hotel seems to aim to those who stay only for a couple
of days. overall, it's not worth the room rates.
