Our kiteboarding center recommended this hostel and we were more than happy that they did. The location is convenient, with the wet market and the supermarket around the corner. White Beach is only 100m away and Bulabog is a 5 minute walk to the other side.

The rooms are basic with fan, aircon and warm water. The area is very quiet and the couple that owns the place are lovely people. We have spent several evenings chatting with Dennis at the bar, where he will let you make your own drinks. The man has travelled around the world and can tell you some amazing stories.

We paid 1200 per night for a double room including breakfast for two, but prices are negotiable as long as the place is not fully booked. Give them a call in advance to be sure.

We were in the isla gecko from 22`th of desember 2005,to the 4`th of january 2006.

When we booked in at this plase,we talked to the owners(Dennis and Mae)and asked many questions,and they were allways helpfull,but,like always when you book in at an resort,you always expect something negative,but in this place,there is nothing negative to report.
Everything from breakfast to any noise at night,there is only posetive things to talk about.

They are always helpfull,if you want to do something from snorkling,to sightseing the island,you ask,and they help you as mutch as they can.

if you want to go to boracay,and experience sleeping between bamboo walls(without getting ripped of),and having the owners themself wishing you a good morning,and taking they`r time talking to you,while waiting for something to eat or drink,inviting you to join them at they`r meal,this is the right place.

Even when they are sleeping,you can help yourself with something to drink in they`r freezer or in the bar,it`s only going to take you a feew days before you feel so at home that you are ready for helping them cleaning up...

Only 1 minute from the good part of the white beatch(where there is no boats),and close to the sentrum,this is a place i am going back to as soon as i can...

I am from Norway,and are used to staying in fansy places,and this is exactly what i was looking for,not to fansy,but with an aircon,and the feeling of being in Philippines.
