I stayed at this hotel for five nights in March 2012. I had to work long hours and only returned to the room after 11 pm and took a quick shower on the second night, Wanting to use the shower and shampoo gel, I realised the hotel amenties were not provided. I wanted to use some tissue paper, and pulled out a sheet, and there was no left! So it meant that the tissue paper box had only one sheet of tissue paper left that was pulled out (half way) to disguise a full box of tissue! I was shocked. I ended up wrapped in my bathrobe, in the bathroom, calling Housekeeping to ask for the BASIC hotel amenities.
I was shocked when the staff who answered my call said, "If I were you, I wouldn't pay money to stay at this hotel!" I had to laugh as it was certainly not the answer I had expected. The housekeeping staff was clearly disgruntled and unhappy working at this hotel and was not planning to salvage this situation.
I had to then call the Duty Manager and explained my situation and asked for hotel amenities that are even basic in a three-star management.
Of course, I won't want to stay at this hotel again, but after staying at many local and overseas hotels, this unexpected response from Housekeeping took the cake. His nonchalant and non-apologetic response to my call suggests that this hotel is cold, uncaring to its staff and guests, and yes, guests like myself is a mere digit to the hotel.
