The Orchard Hotel staff from the moment we arrived Rebecca at the check in desk welcomed my husband & I. Our room was lovely. We were even given a blue room as they knew that was my favourite colour. Sadly the room was not as clean as it should have been & the toilet was leaking. The duty managers Sheikh & Matta instantly dealt with the problem even though it was 1.30am in the morning. The toilet again broke down. The hotel instantly moved us to a bigger suite & a lovely bunch of flowers was delivered to our room to apologise by Zirah the Guest Services Manager. The rooms are lovely 5 star luxury as you expect. We stayed in The Signature Club Suite. The room was spacious with a small european kitchen. A walk in wardrobe, Double sinks, a dressing table, a huge shower with 2 different shower options & a lovely deep bathtub with the added bonus of a TV to watch whilst you bath. All in all our room had 3 TV's my husband was in heaven. The hotel also provides a pillow menu which I loved as I was able to select a pillow to suite my needs. The beds were also slightly softer than in most Asian hotels which I appreciated. The bathroom always had a small fresh flower on the vanity & a lovely selection of toiletries we were even provided bath salts & bath oil. The mood lighting in the room was fantastic as were the electric privacy blinds & curtains. You can even have a night light on. We became club members as we always do & the extra cost is well worth it. We were able to use the club facilites at all times & the club staff were amazing, Daisy, Amanda & the other girls went out of their way to ensure we were happy & comfortable. Having breakfast in the club lounge was relaxing & intimate. The chef as we called him welcomed us every morning & cooked our eggs the way we wanted he even called down to the main kitchen to get roasted tomatoes for me. The staff were always on hand to meet our every need. The afternoon tea in the club was nice. The sandwiches were a little soggy & the selection not that great. The 6pm to 8pm canapes & drinks at the club lounge was the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. Every day they had a different selection of canapes. The hotel gym was excellent & well equipped. The only thing is take a water bottle the paper cups are awful. The concierge was friendly, knowledgable & very helpfull nothing was not too much trouble. The Hua Ting Restaurant on the first floor was one of the best dinner experiences we have had. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were treated like 5 star guests. The manager came to our table to welcome us & explain the menu in detail nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing so well cooked very fresh & to the highest standard. Serene our wattress made sure we were taken care of & happy. We also had lunch at the restaurant & the carrot cake was 1 of the best I have had. The only thing the Orchard Hotel lacks is a proper cafe & a day spa I believe if these 2 things are added no other hotel in Singapore will be able to match them. I became unwell whilst staying at the Hotel & Zirah the Guest Services Manager & Daisy in the club lounge made sure I was taken care of & seen by an excellent Doctor. Zirah assured me that the hotel & staff were there to take care of me & they did it happily. I felt very safe & well cared for. Honestly The Orchard Hotel is exceptional & the staff are the hotels main assest. I loved it so much I am going back in September. Zirah even assured my husband who will not be able to come that the staff would look after me . Exceptional customer service & care.
The rooms in the in the Oriental wing were our favourite.
