I stayed in a Premier room for 5 nights in March 2012.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Definitely not a 4 star.
The only good point about it, is the central location.
Here is a series of low points customers and hotel management should be aware of:
Clearly needs training, cold, unprofessional, condescending, borderline ironic and confrontational. They do not like questions and hate to be disturbed. The 1st welcoming phrase was "passport". After some typing and checking, the second phrase was "credit card".
At quiet times, they tend to gather all as a group and chat while watching who comes in and out of the hotel and what items you are bringing in from outside.
I checked in very late and after almost 16 hours of travel, I was looking forward a good shower and a quiet night. My first room had its bed infested with bugs. Very tiny bugs that can be seen with plenty of light. When I complained, the so called Manager on duty for the night (an imposing young lady) was unprofessional and seemed bothered by my report. She challenged me and even said there is no such thing as bed bugs, almost ridiculing me. Luckily I was able to show some real time specimens. The employee accompanying the manager quickly crushed them with his fingers though.
I was escorted to another room. Both hotel employees stood at the door saying "ok now you check". In other words, they left it to me, the customer, to go in and check if this second room had bed bugs. Surprise, I found many. Loosing patience the manager clearly was angry at me for finding the bugs and ruining her night. She instructed the porter to take me to another floor where after 2 other rooms tested positive to bed bugs, I finally settled into the 5th room around 1am, exhausted, frustrated, resigned, knowing that if I would really look for the bugs I'd find them.
Each time the on-duty manager and the porter, were living it to me to check the beds and never did they apologize. Finally with a military like attitude and tone, the on-duty manager said she will write a report as this is the first time they've seen it (not what other reviewers have reported) and they will investigate this with pest control. Who cares? I was tired and on the verge of exploding.
Next day a bottle of wine awaited me in the room. Since I don't drink alcohol I made the front desk aware of it, and the reply was: "Well if you don't drink, then leave it where it is." No alternative was offered.
