We started our Peru & Equador trip here and stayed 2 nights at the Casa Wayra, For the amount we paid ($45), it was good value I think as our room was BIG and clean, and the breakfast was decent. However, you would need to know a little bit of spanish (not a problem for me) as the person in the reception doesn't have good English. There's also a nice quite small courtyard at the back where you can have breakfast.
In summary, I felt the room was adequate and sufficient for what we wanted (we weren't planning to stay in our rooms - we're in Lima!). It is also quite central and you can walk to Larcomar shopping mall or Parque John F. Kennady - so, it's very central. I would certainly consider staying here again if I plan to come back to Miraflores.
