This hotel is probably one of the better Nadi ones.
Personally I don't stay in Nadi unless I have to - I prefer to go out to the Islands direct, but this would be the best option if you need a night in town.
It's clean, and the rooms are satisfactory - the minimum standard I would accept - which is quite high for Fiji. We were comfortable. The walls are thin and we could hear very cough in the next room which was a pain,and only 4 local channels available on the TV. The beds were great and the bathrooms well supplied.
One highlight was the restaurant which we found to be exceptionally good!! Awesome food and service here. The shop will not charge to you room so you need cash for small purchases and there is no ATM. No shuttle to town - you have to taxi - but the taxis are plentiful.
We hired a car and went to Natudola Beach as we heard it was beautiful and there is nothing to do in Nadi, but beware - the road to the beach is a rutted, muddy, potholed, dangerous goat track!!! Terrifying - I thought we were stuck there for the night it was so bad. There are very few signposts so easy to get lost too. The beach turned out to have huge surf that day , with a steep drop off and waves crashing right on shore so we couldn't swim in it anyway. If you go, make sure they have sealed the road all they way now. There are two new hotels going in so it might get sealed soon. The beach, though promoted as the best in Fiji, was filthy with rubbish and bits of wood and about a foot deep in weed - there was no sand you could sit on - nothing like the photos! I expect once the other hotels open they'll clean it up.
Anyway the Novotel in town is just fine - probably your best option if you like your room clean and comfy.

This hotel was a disgrace! There was scum all up the back of the toilets, and the door to the outside didn't even look. Dinner took over an hour to be served, thats after a half an hour wait to get our order. The meal was medioca and over priced! Don't bother doing breakfast unless it is included. We had a bowl of cearal, two pieces of toast and a watery coffee and they charged us $19!!! EACH!! When we tried to speak to someone about it, we were basically told 'tough!!'. I would never stay there again!!

We were long term guests at this Hotel - stayed 10 days as a base for Island visits and mainland touring. we were bitterly disappointed in the Novotel and in fact, wanted to cut our trip short several times. The rooms were nice, hotel rooms, so don't expect anything else, nicely decorated but really lacking the basics, no cold water in the fridge for example, AC didn't work and when we told front desk they came and took a look around around but did nothing, we had to ask for a fan - twice- for our room. We also asked that our room be serviced before midday as we wanted to come back during the hottest part of the day for a rest but sadly, that was not forthcoming either. The hotel was mostly empty so we couldn't see what the problem would have been. Breakfast - terrible, no other word to describe it. The buffet was $AU19 and for that you got a choice of cold baked beans, cold spaghetti (tinned) cold rubbery fish tasting pancakes, hash browns that contained no potato and were so hard and cold they could have been a weapon if thrown, cold sausages or cereals. Not value for money and quite horrible. For lunch and dinner they had the same one menu, service was incredibly slow and the food arrived cold as usual , The chocolate mousse was hard, the chips stone cold, the pizza base was not cooked and as was usual cold. We resorted to eating tuna rolls in our room. The pool area was nice, noone was ever there including staff, we had to go chasing reception for towels on several occasions. There was a phone to call for drinks but beware, they will bring you your drink and then another and another without you asking for them, all opened and ready to pour so you did feel obligated. The staff were friendly as are the Fijian people, although the 2 girls in the gift shop should learn to get along and stop arguing in front of the customers. Ther was no pick up from the Airport but it is a cheap Taxi ride. There is nothing to do at this Hotel in the evening, no happy hour so you can mingle with other guests, no defined bar area, no entertainment, no nothing!! Retiring to your room, you have the choice of 3 channels of TV with no option at reception for a DVD or movie and mostly cartoons were on. Esther at the tour desk was lovely, very willing to assist us in our tours and stop for a chat. Will we go back to Novotel, NO, not ever. I could go on about the place but it makes me depressed just thinking about it.

Stayed one night at the Novatel before catching our flight back home. We did not get much of a look around here as it was dark & getting late when we arrived. The staff at reception were very helpful even ringing Qantas to confirm our flight time for the next day.
The room was very neat & tidy. It was a little small but done the job for one night.
We arrived at the restaraunt right on closing but were met by very friendly, understanding staff who served up a delicious meal.
I would definately stay here again. Close to the airport & appeared very clean & tidy everywhere.
