we stayed at the Theranda hotel in April for three nights in April 2009. A bit difficult to find first time (we arrived by car and it was quite a challenge to find the hotel in a back street). The location is perfect, two steps from the Bloku with all the restaurants and shops, yet far enough to be quiet. The hotel is quite stylish, well designed and rooms well appointed - certainly for Albanian standards (even though I am never sure about the whirlpool showers with integrated radios... it's a Balkan thing and on this occasion the radio even worked!). All modern and clean. We got a good rate at 90€ per night for a double room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Leaving Tirana, we had planned a trip via lake Komani (very worthwhile and beautiful trip by the way!!): the hotel staff managed to dig out all the information on the ferry crossing etc. One thing that impressed us and must be a first in Albania - the room came with a baby bed for our baby daughter - a first for our travel in Albania! Later the owner told us that seeing that we had announced our stay with a baby, they went out and bought a baby bed, also for future clients. So if you're planning on coming with your baby, don't worry about a baby bed... I also saw some signs for a fitness room in the hotel, but it wasn't operational at the time. Overall a great choice for Tirana!!

stayed at theranda for a week: hotel is brand new and very confortable...close (walking distance) to the center and to the trendy 'blloku" area...the attention you get from staff is remarkable and deserves 5 stars...management style is completely new for albania, more host than owner, and customer is central...very helpfull and attent staff...breakfast very good...quiet area...to be recomended for both business and leisure travelers.

An honest hotel. All you could ever want! I paticularly enjoyed the faith of the staff and the breakfast

Just returned from our holiday in Tirana. Booked the hotel direct via email and got a really good deal with them. The management and staff at the hotel were excellent. We got good advise from reception and the owner was a perfect host. I can recommend this hotel to both business and leisure customers. Will definately stay here again when i return to Tirana. 5 MINS walk to Blokku area whare all the good restuarants and bars seem to be. Also near to Skanderbeg Square aswell. First class hotel.
