As all other Minsk hotels were full due to (communist party ?) congresses I opted for this low-graded far-from-the-centre soviet style hotel. Somewhere I read the building looks like it was taken straight from the centre of Mogadishu and that is correct, especially since similar buldings around this hotel look much nicer. Inside it much better, nice reception folks, english spoken and a wide range of rooms, varying from old style bathroom/toilet sharing with your neighbour ones to small suites. Prices vary from 20 EUR single to 60 EUR double suite. The restarurant (café) is a noisy affair with mediocre service and reasonable food, but it has free WiFi. Bus 81 brings you to the centre in 20 minutes for about 0,15 EUR (BYR 600), you can pay the driver directly.
