Our room was great, the food was delish, and we enjoyed central location. very reasonably priced- good value! we even won at the neighboring casino! oh and the kids enjoyed our last few hours at the rooftop pool

We arrived here from London and Miami a little frazzled but neednt have been concerned . The hotel is of a great standard , they have gone for an urban style, with a fairly full on , fun cocktail bar, casino attached, and a couple of good restaurants. Breakfasts were good. The pool and spa area is certainly unique amongst all hotels i have stayed at, sitting as it does amongst a concrete jungle - but there's something fabulous about sitting in the pool surrounded by skyscrapers. The suite itself was massive, airy and cool . Huge bed, good shower. we even had a kitchenette.
We stayed 3 nights, the room had a gorgeous view of the Bay and the Old town, it was quiet at night and we had ringside seats for spectacular thunderstorms, signature of Panama's rainy season.
Would recommend for any visitor, business or pleasure, for their first night or two in panama and a spot of luxury.
The only downside - the cocktail lounge on Friday night was, very loud and hectic. It didnt disturb us in our room, but whilst eating dinner in the adjacent restaurant, 140 bpm hardcore wasnt the best thing to listen to while jet lagged and hungry ( perhaps we needed to be in the mood )... when wanting a nice quiet chill. Cafe del Mar tunes may have gone down better..... small niggle, in the scheme of things. the bar was much more relaxed on the other nights.
We didnt try the spa, but it looked good, and was open til 10 pm every day.

Hotel looks a little warn from the outside and they are currently building a massive condo section off the back. Have not heard any of the construction noise and our room had an ocean view. Hotel staff is very helpful/professional. Security personnel at all entries and room keys permit access to your floor only, and in general seems to be a safe neighborhood. The room service menu is exceptionally delicious. Beds are the most comfy I've ever stayed in, period. Rooms are clean, HDTVs. Gym is OK. Pool is small and dated but overall the patio area is OK. Have not tried the spa. Walls are a little thin but have not had any noise problems. They provide free wired Internet, cable included with room. $15/day for WiFi or VPN-enabled access. Taxi service from the hotel is maybe 2x the cabs down the street, but get a nice clean towncar for the price. Mall and casino are connected on walkway. The mall has a great cinema where VIP-seats (oversized leather recliners, reserved seats), are $5/person. $20 drink coupon and free (decent) breakfast included with the room rate. Entire hotel has a great ambiance.

This is an upscale hotel which tries very hard to be hip and trendy. I booked a standard room and was surprised to find myself in a suite on the top floor at no extra charge. Minimalist style of decor, high end amenities. Fast check-in. Decent room service. And then I started to notice the discrepancies: the bathtub drain didn't work. Neither of the sinks had stoppers to block the drains, Telephone by the bed didn't work. I called maintenance and had no trouble getting immediate help even though it was after 8:00 pm. I recommend the hotel, but be sure to check that everything in the room works.
