I stayed at this hotel 7 nights from Sunday 8 May 2005. It is located on the river bank, on the south side. It is an integral part of a shopping mall and adjacent to riverside bars and ice cream parlours. My room 518 had excellent views of the main bridges. It is some 15 minutes walk from main Ministry buildings but closer to principal shopping streets further south. To see old Skopje, you need to cross the river. The hotel is a good standard for the City (foreign delegations stay here) but only 3 star on an international scale. It has a 2 PCs in its DIY business centre but one machine was ancient. Breakfast on 1st floor is buffet style. Quite good but pricey locally at EUR 13. No pool in the hotel though a new fitness centre has been added to the side of the hotel. My room had modern furnishings and bathroom was fully tiled and functional. The maid had an irritating habit of changing towels and sheets each day, despite my following the rules to save energy for environmental reasons. Understanding of English by hotel staff was adquate. Near the hotel must have been a disco as there was a background thudding noise whenever I woke during the night! All round, an ok stay but not more than that. At EUR 94 per night, hotel costs just under what I was told the average Macedonian earns in a month.
