a great place to stay if you cant speak the language the owner Darrel Hicks is from the United States and will help if you have a problem or want to know the best places to eat because we americans are pretty spoiled. the rooms are nice and clean and the location of the hotel couldnt be better its in the middel of everything. myself and my freinds stumbeled on this hotel while in antigua and we were trying to find somewhere to stay for the night we found out the hard way that if you dont know how to speak the language you are at the mercy of every spanish speaking person you have contact with and you will be ripped off i am not mad about that that is the real world so we were very happy to meet someone who spoke our language and knows how to take care of americans we willgo back every year we can and this is the only place we will ever stay inguatamala they are the difference between a great time south of the border and a dissaster and if you dont believe me go to another hotel and find out like me the hard way

Great location just a block off the center of town. Good referrals from the staff and owner and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable situation in Antigua.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel Casa Rustica and thought it was great! We booked a double room with a shared bathroom and we got a room that had 1 double bed and 2 twin beds (it was a really good size). It also opened up to a terrace, which was really nice. It was a really clean hostel (yes, it's definitely a hostel) and has an excellent location!!! It's SO close to the center of town and a quick walk to the market. Everyone at the hostel was very friendly and helpful. The only downside for us was that we arrived VERY tired on a Saturday and they had live music that night playing down below while we were trying to sleep. But if you enjoy the live music, I'm sure you won't mind! Definitely would stay there again...

I am always travelling so a good location, good service and a good shower is always appreciated. Casa Rusticas has them all plus a terrace to take sun, a pool table, a kitchen to cook what you want and internet access in the lobby.
Darril (the owner) really likes to help out people and he owns two casa rusticas. I recomend it!!! :)
