We spent a very relaxing week at the Hotel Bozica on the island of Sipan earlier this month. We went mid-October, which was perhaps a bit late as we hit the very end of the season (September would perhaps be the ideal time to go), but nonetheless, we had good weather and we were looked after exceptionally well by the very friendly staff at the Hotel, who pretty much saw to our every need. Sipan and the neighbouring Elafiti islands are beautiful, and (so far) completely unspoilt. People are friendly, and it's easy (and very cheap) to get around by local ferry or hydrofoil. The sea is as clear as it gets, the surroundings are just stunning, and the Hotel Bozica really is set in the perfect place to make the best of both. Food at the hotel was of a very good standard. We also tried to visit local eateries as much as possible, and always found the food decent, although menus are, on the whole, fairly limited. Stick to the fresh seafood and the local wine, and you will not want for anything. Between visiting Lopud, Mljet, Dubrovnik and doing walking and boat tours of Sipan, we happily filled a week without exerting ourselves too much - but there are plenty of more energetic activities on hand and you will need a decent pair of walking shoes for walking around the islands. Highly recommended.
