Every single member of staff goes out of their way to make your stay memorable, from Housekeeping to Junaidi at Concierge and Joern and Sky at Cascades Restaurant, nothing is too much trouble for the employees at Fairmont.
The hotel also offers some of the best dining experiences in Dubai, from their wonderful buffet breakfast served in Cascades, to some of the best Italian food I have ever sampled at "Bacchus". For a treat make a reservation at 'Spectrum One', where you can enjoy food from all over the world without leaving your table....their various kitchens including Indian, European, Thai etc., make this THE ultimate dining experience, plus, to round things off you have the dry, subtle wit of Alex, the Operations Manager for the Restaurant.
During my 3 week stay at the hotel, I sampled many other restaurants in other 5 star environments, but nothing compared to my dining experiences at Fairmont.
I found the rooms to be spacious, spotlessly clean, with every possible convenience, from multi-channel/language TV, to Internet access. When noisy work was carried out close to my room, I was notified ahead of time and automatically upgraded to a one bedroom suite. The move was easy and hassle free and very efficiently handled.
To obtain the very best room rate I suggest you fly with Emirates and book a stopover on their website. This reduced my rate from $500 to $144 a night. But again, THE only way to get this rate is to fly with Emirates and book the hotel on their website, through their sister company "Arabian Adventures". This company also offers many organised trips, the one not to miss is the Dinner Cruise on the creek. Wonderful food and great ambience.
To close I must also credit 'Arabian Adventures' representative Connie, she went out of her way to help and assist me during my stay.
So, summing up - you cannot beat The Fairmont, Dubai and I am already planning to return for the Christmas/New Year holiday

The one bedroom gold suite was big and nice, but the living room furniture has seen its better days. They need to replace the furniture in the gold suites - couches and chairs.

Otherwise, the hotel was great.
