“Be warned!”

Wild Wadi Water Park

Beware the gate security! We've visited water parks around the world and never encountered this before!

The security 'guards' made absolutely no attempt to check through belongings for anything threatening as far as we could see, the only aim appeared to be to take all items of food and drink away from visitors. These were then confiscated until departure time: a whole room inc fridges were devoted to this 'contraband'!

I objected to this and was told they are a profit making organisation!! As I said that my children had allergies, I was allowed to keep our sandwiches - I also hid a litre of water and as they weren't doing proper security checks, got away with it! At 36degrees, expensive to buy drinks and food on top of their hefty entrance fees.

The park itself was ok but unremarkable and apart from one ride, mild, but staff inside park helpful and friendly.

Desert safari definitely worth a go, though touristy as you would expect, we found Funtours way cheaper than Arabian Adventures for what appeared to be same trip and was fun for all the family.

Big Bus Tour very good value and a good start to holiday.

Beware of the Dubai traffic - a nighmare and don't let a Dubai taxi driver take you to other than a major hotel in Sharjah- they are prone to get lost and charge you for it!!

“Excellent FAMILY Water Park”

Wild Wadi Water Park is an excellent day for the entire family. However if you are an adrenalin seeker, it's probably not for you.

The Park is a good size as it is not too big but has plenty to see and do with lots of variety. The queues move quickly so you are not constantly waiting and spend more time doing.

We loved that there weren't many stairs. Kids on waterslides can be quite tiring after a while if you are climbing steps all day so at WIld Wadi you can have family fun but it's relaxing too. At the bottom, you get on a tube and the water and conveyer take you to the top and the water slides. Therefore it is also great for those who are not so mobile.

The park is very well presented with great views of the Burj Al Arab and surrounding area from the highest point.

My family and I got free entrance to the Wild Wadi cause we stayed at the Burj Al-Arab (Wild Wadi is owned by the same company that owns the Burj). I like the waterpark, cause the line moved along speedily, all rides took an average of less than 5 minutes. And we went on Friday and Saturday, where it is supposedly the most crowded. There is a big complex for toddlers and kids with its own slides. There's the body boarding for more skilled attendants. My favorite ride was the individual tubing slide, where they shoot you up a few times, and once you're up there, you go tubing down the slides, with a total of 11 slides including a completely dark tunnel.

It was amazing, fun for all ages, safe and clean.

“wild wadi experience”

Wild Wadi Water Park

Get there early!!! The prices are the same as you would pay in England - £20 pp and £3 for a locker (which is a rip off as you need a locker to keep your clothes in, so they should have been free)

There are fantastic water rides to suit everyone from children to adult, from surf simulators to log rides. There is a very high slide (not for those scared of heights) but from the top you get the most fantastic view of Al burj hotel and the sea. No trip to Dubai is complete without experiencing this. As a muslim I wore tracksuit bottoms, a t-shirt and hijab, and it was fine.

A great park especially with the kids. Need to get there early esp in holidays - some hotels gain you access 1 hour earlier than the general public - worth thinking about when booking your hotel.
