We found this restaurant while wandering around looking for a place to eat. Since it was early every restaurant was empty, and we had no recommendations. El Austriaco was a great find. The food was excellent. I had lamb shank, the tastiest I every had. The chef came out to chat and when I asked how he prepared this dish, he shared his recipe. For desert he recommended a souffle, the lightest I ever had. It never deflated.
Also, the women (I assume the owner or part owner) was very helpful giving us directions and advise for touring Vina and Valparaiso.
