The Microtel is an excellent deal if you need a clean, cheap place to stay in Ann Arbor. They have a free shuttle which will pick you up and drop you off in town, free wireless and free calls to North America from your room phone. I didn't find it noisy at all...I highly recommend it.

Stayed here on a recent trip to a Michigan football game. Ended up in this hotel as we were bumped from another hotel.

This is a money play. Accomodations are fine and what you would expect for the price. Staff were friendly and helpful. Contenential Breakfast is light on the offering.

If this fits your profile it will work fine. We stayed on the opposite side of the highway and did not have any noise problems.

The main problem with this property is the close proximity to the highway and excessive noise. I don't think I have ever stayed in a place this noisy.

The room itself was a decent size. However, the sleeper loveseat (NOT A SOFA) was as thin as I have ever seen and would only fit one person. I had to place the loveseat cushions underneath the mattress to get any support! I kid you not!

I booked this room because of the reviews on this site. Please do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. Tonight we are staying at the Hampton Inn in Ann Arbor, for about the same price. So much better.

When I was looking for hotels in Ann Arbor, I was really surprised by how expensive everything was. It's Ann Arbor!!! But then I found the Microtel and was more than happy with their rates. I arrived early and they were able to check me in with no problems, even though it was only 1 p.m. and check in is at 3. My room was not the most spacious, but it had everything I needed and was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was really good sized and although the toilet made a horrible noise every time I flushed it, I was more than happy with my accommodations. They have a computer in the lobby which came in handy the next morning when I had to re-book my flight out. They also have wireless and free local and long distance calls. I didn't take advantage of the free continental breakfast, but it looked like they had a good variety of breakfast options. They also have juice, coffee and fruit available all day for guests. The location is great, very convenient to 23 and the North Campus area of UM. I'll definitely be staying here on my next trip to Ann Arbor!
