We stayed at this hotel for one night to try the new hotel and let the kids go swimming. We had a King Suite and there was plenty of room. We also had a regular room which was average in size.

First the pros..
The hotel was very quiet , I think there were just a handful of people staying there.

The beds were very comfortable.

Checkout was at 12:00 P.M.

The rooms were clean.

Rooms are non smoking or so they say .

They had an indoor pool that was clean.

Not a far drive from Downtown Ann Arbor


Now the cons...

The girl that checked us in was nice but gave us no information at all like what time checkout was , what time the pool was open till, that Breakfast was not complimentary. She pretty much just gave us a smile and never said much of anything!
When we checked out it was the same.

The breakfast they serve buffet style is only complimentary for kids not adults. This is fine with me if only it was worth paying money for and if I had been told about it before hand.
It was very lacking in the food department. There was only about six items to choose from.
There is a Tim Hortons across the street!

The room REEKED of Stale Cigarette smoke. It was really bad!Even though the hotel was near empty they had no other clean suites to move us to . Their explanation was even though they are a non smoking hotel people still smoke in the rooms from time to time. So basically they really do not enforce the rule like other hotels who tack on a fine if you smoke in a non smoking room. Her attitude came off as to bad for you just put up with it!
My sisters room smelled great! No smokers in there!

The pool was nice but FREEZING COLD! The hot tub was nice and hot though!

Overall it was an ok place to stay . For the bare basics it works and for a very comfortable bed its worth it.

We spent a night here before moving to the Ronald McDonald house. We enjoyed the stay. It was quiet, clean and they had a nice pool.

Enjoyed dinner at the attached bar.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and took great care of us while we were here.

This is a great hotel - the beds are SUPER comfortable with soft sheets. Everything was in excellent condition and, unlike many hotels, the rooms did not smell AT ALL! The room service was very good, as was the pool and jacuzzi. I also found the staff very nice. Would recommend in a heart beat.

I always use tripadvisor; & to date, it hasn't let me down. I can only say this is one of the strongest recommendations I'd make.
When you travel with young children, mine are 7 & 5, you worry. You worry about noise, about facilities, about cleanliness, about helpfulness of staff.
We stayed here for 4 nights & was the kick-off of our USA trip & supposed to be a bed-base hotel. I loved the airiness, space & facilities of the room, we had the pool to ourselves, the staff were lovely, the beds so comfy, no noise - either from any road as you are setback or other guests, the large tv great, the fridge invaluable, coffee machine used every morning... We had a car, so could get anywhere, which you do in the States so location was great.
Can only say that if you're in any doubt, I definitely give this my full seal of approval. If you are visiting the area with kids, recommend Independance Lake.
