My wife and I stayed at this hotel from September 2nd until September 12th. I was disappointed that they didn't give us any price break for staying for 10 days. We paid the same daily rate that everyone else would pay. That isn't right! Even a $10.00 price reduction per day would have helped!!! The desk clerks were so unfriendly! I also didn't like the hotel manager either. I had a very unpleasant conversation with her on the phone about maid service policy. It seems that this hotel expects someone to vacate the room whenever the maids come. That just isn't right! You pay for the room! You should get to stay in your room as much as you want!!! Sometimes we don't have anywhere to go, so we just like to lounge. Also, what happens if you want to sleep longer?
The continental breakfast was alright. But it would help if they added cinnamon raisin bagels. All they had were plain ones. I also didn't like the overflow side of the building that we were on. That is the area where all the trucks and buses parked. That side of the building was constantly noisy. The shower in our room was a strong one. I also liked the fairly large fridge. The microwave was okay. The beds were okay. The maids were fairly friendly. I don't like their current no smoking policy for the rooms, because it allows people to smoke outside of the rooms, which is a problem if you happen to live next door to a smoker and they are standing about a few feet from your door when you are coming or going. They ought to make the entire property no smoking!!!
My wife and I would stay at this hotel again, but would make sure our room next time was on the side away from where the trucks and buses park. You can find much more glamorous rooms at other hotels in the area, but it would be very hard to beat the price here.
