I found the staff here to be very helpful in mailing/receiving packages, arranging for shuttles, room service, etc. The room was large and clean. I was here for a conference and the meeting facilities and business center were useful and comfortable. You have the option of a free complimentary breakfast in the lobby or paying in the restaurant, which was pleasant. Only drawback is that you need a car to get from the hotel to U Mich campus.

We found this hotel to be an excellent, refreshing change from the Chain hotels around. The staff was cheerful & helpful, and the food was very homey and good. Rooms were also very clean & comfortable. Wish there were more like this still around.

I stayed on numerous occasion in this hotel. Located directly outside Ann Arbor, its location is ideal. The main issue is tha there is a huge difference between the different room of the hotel. If you want to enjoy a quiet room, book one not on the swimming pool side.
The hotel includes a good restaurant evenso a little expensive. The bar has usually a very nice atmosphere.
The main weakness is the breakfast. You have either the alternative to eat something free of charge in the lobby or to go to the restaurant. The hotel provides 50% discount is you stay is the hotel.
This hotel is in my opinion the best compromise in Ann Arbor.

Had never stayed here before but wanted a non-chain hotel. Was somewhat apprehensive considering some of the reviewes but was pleasantly surprised. We stayed in one of the suites. It was very nice-recently renovated. The bedding was very comfortable. I had no complaints with the room. The bar also had a very good cover band which was enjoyable. Thee location is good-easy to get to downtown Ann Arbor. Rates are higher on football game days. Would definitely stay there again.
