The Hotel du Lac is owned by a Lebanese family and has a large/nice terrace on the water, perfect for sunsets and watching fishermen.

The actual rooms are stale 2.5-star rooms, with the absolute basic amenities (including satellite tv, hot water, and A/C).

The previous reviewer was absolutely spot on in terms of the pizza - very delicious and right out of their own wood-fired clay pizza oven. They also have some good lebanese food.

The service is, unfortunately, horrible. You must be assertive to get food, a beer, or anything for that matter.

There's a nice sized clean pool and diving boards, and relatively reliable free WiFi works throughout the compound, including the terrace along the water.

This was a fantastic hotel. The have a very helpful and cordial staff. Rooms were clean and well appointed, many with views of the lagoon. The hotel restaurant is one of the best in Cotonou with its own pizza oven (fantastic pizzas) as well as local cuisine. The swimming pool was also quite large and clean.
