2 nights. Pleasant check in with welcome scarf and
refreshments as the check in was completed resort style.
comfortably sitting in the lobby. Open air lobby common
throughout S.E. Asian resorts. Hardwood and small
fountains. Pleasant and relaxing.
Large, spacious room with balcony overlooking the
gardens and pool. Pleasantly appointed. Chair with footstool. Standard sized desk with chair. 1hr free internet in room.
Huge bathroom. Bathtub/shower and single sink with
large counter area.
Only one restaurant on site. Excellent buffet breakfast
with fine variety of western and asian dishes. If large
group in hotel then buffet dinner offered otherwise
a reasonable and fine a la carte menu is offered.
Spa with medium sized menu of services. Low prices compared
with say Thailand and Bali. Good value and services.
Location is between airport and downtown. It is not isolated but
there is not much of interest within walking distance. Requires taxi into town.
Service was fine though not outstanding rather laid back and
friendly. Lack of variety in food and beverage facilities does
reduce its total resort experience. This could be the case
for resorts/hotels in Siem Reap.
Perhaps it is unfair to expect more as Cambodia doesnot have
the deep traffic and investment in infrastructure that the other
South East Asian countries have.
It was pleasant indeed but just makes a 3-4 star property based on its facilities and service.
